Are you starting yet another week with the same list of unachieved goals and objectives you’ve been obsessing over for seemingly ever? Do you wonder why you just cannot seem to get anything done? Have you lost your focus?

If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions and you are ready for action, consider the following:

  1. Evaluate your commitment. Look honestly at how you apply your will and resources to a course of action until it is accomplished. What’s really important here?
  2. State an intention and pay attention to your thoughts. Having a clear picture of what you want to create will help get you there. Keep your thoughts focused only on what you want to create.
  3. Determine what is working and what is not. Make adjustments in your thoughts and behaviors accordingly.
  4. Make a list of distractions. Find ways to limit or eliminate them.
  5. Find a source of inspiration. This could be as simple as posting quotes in your workspace, writing affirmations, subscribing to a daily message or reading a couple of pages of an inspirational book each day.
  6. Have written goals and objectives. It’s a proven fact that people with written goals achieve more, and achieve it more quickly. Review your goals monthly and make adjustments where necessary.
  7. List the daily actions you must take to reach your goals and objectives.
  8. Get a buddy or hire a coach. E-mail each other a list of the tasks or projects you intend to complete for the week, and recap with your buddy the following week.

When setting goals, objectives and daily practices, your goals should be:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Achievable and action-oriented
  • Realistic
  • Time-specific

Write down three to eight goals you want to achieve. State the specific objectives or action steps necessary to accomplish each goal. Establish a chart of daily actions and check off your achievements each day. Try this for 90 days and witness the amazing difference it makes.

Are you ready to live powerfully?
