An angelic presence in flowers

The photograph of this flower was taken on the island of Maui at a place called The Enchanted Garden. Its name sounds spectacular, but in reality, the garden was run-down and in need of some TLC. But here in this garden I learned, as a photographer and a human being, that my camera and I could find the beauty in any situation.

I named this image Angelic Presence because I felt like the angels, who were very close to me at this time, showed me the lesson here. I was so excited to get this image! My husband could not believe it was taken at the same place. I found beauty in a place most people would have walked away from.

Pink and yellow are the dominant colors in this orchid. All shades of pink stand for loving energy and unconditional love. Pink helps open our hearts to divine love. The color yellow symbolizes creativity, playfulness and optimism.

There are more than 25,000 species of orchids — more than any other flower. The orchid stands for ecstasy. Legend says the orchid helps bring disconnected lovers back into each other’s arms, reviving the passion in their lives.

So, next time you find yourself in a less-than-perfect situation, try to find the beauty. Your heart will be filled with bliss when you do.
