Expansion through simplification

by Christine Kloser —

In a world being torn apart by the desire for more, more, more, something incredible is happening. There is a shift underway — from the old, greedy patterns of yesterday to a more simplified and aligned approach.

In Dr. Wayne Dyer’s movie, “The Shift,” he talks beautifully about the “morning and afternoon” of life. He refers to this as the moving away from an ego-based drive for money, acquisitions and external achievements, toward a soul-based desire to be of service and to experience and be a source of peace and love.

The above may sound like hippie, feel-good nonsense, but the new business paradigm is based on these very things. Many entrepreneurs have expressed similar concerns lately and are fed up with the hype regarding money as the be-all, end-all. They are searching to find true meaning in their work and to become more aligned with who they are here to be and who they are here to serve, knowing that this is the place where abundance of all kinds flows.

This is the most valuable and important quest a conscious entrepreneur can embark on. It is only through these deep internal shifts in your own consciousness that you can experience the abundance and lasting success you are looking for. This is a shift toward simplicity, toward your own energetic expansion, toward surrendering and trusting.

Below are three of the most valuable lessons that can guide you to expansion through simplification.

1. Less is more — Lately, many entrepreneurs have hit big milestones in their businesses, yet they are beginning to question the reason for it all. The overhead, stress and ambition are high, but quality of life is low. Contraction occurs in the very space where expansion is most needed.

The key to growth isn’t “bigger is better” when it comes to true fulfillment, satisfaction, ease, openness and grace. It is simplicity. Scaling back, saying no, releasing projects, rethinking the more-is-better business model will lead to more freedom and true soul fulfillment.

2. Seek ease — This is a profound lesson. We have heard for years that business is supposed to be hard, that we are supposed to juggle many projects at once, should be in permanent “create” mode and the like. How ridiculous it is to keep striving unnecessarily, yet we keep doing it. The focus now is turned toward the experience of ease. What new choices do you need to make to bring more ease into your life and business?

3. Trust — Above all, remember to trust, especially when things get more difficult than you ever thought they could. It is essential to trust in a higher plan as you move forward. Growth of any kind can be challenging, but when you breathe and acknowledge that a higher plan exists, it gets easier. When you trust, you open up a space where you can see the Universe conspiring for your highest good in every moment.

These three lessons will be of great value as you grow, evolve and shift into the next evolution of yourself.
