Feng shui for your wedding

In short, feng shui can help you achieve clarity and find solutions you might not otherwise see.

by Joy Abrams —

Feng shui, the centuries-old art of placement, observes that everything in the universe is comprised of energy, or chi. To achieve good chi in your life, this energy must be balanced in your environment to support, rather than hinder, you. The environments you choose on a daily basis — and especially during special occasions — must provide a space that is calming, uplifting and healing.

Your wedding is likely one of the most special days of your life; it is a most important time for your environment to nurture you and uplift you. Your choices regarding colors, shapes and the venue you select for your wedding can make all the difference between having a glorious setting and one that is just ordinary, or even disappointing.

Feng shui can help you achieve this objective and make decisions about all of the following, and more:

  • Proper choice of your wedding reception venue, based on your personal energy
  • Colors and fabrics for the wedding party
  • Materials for the wedding dress and groom’s attire
  • Bridal veil, including whether to wear one at all
  • Venue accessories, such as tablecloths, napkins, etc.
  • Seating arrangements, shapes and placement of tables
  • Flower arrangements and bouquets

In short, feng shui can help you achieve clarity and find solutions you might not otherwise see. These are just a few of the ways feng shui can make your special day spectacular.

When your external environment is one of balance and harmony, you can more easily release challenges and return to your source of power. Then you can continue your wedding plans feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
