The angels tell us to listen to your heart — it knows best.

How many times have you asked yourself whether you said or did the right thing in a given situation? A more appropriate question would be, “Did I use my head, or listen to my heart?”

Most of us have been brought up to think with our heads. Our parents, teachers, friends, even mentors have all told us, “Use your head!” It is a conditioning process that, most of the time, has served us well. However, the angels tell us there is an even better alternative. They say, “Listen to your heart — it knows best.”

Sometimes, listening to our heads keeps us from moving forward and taking action.

When we use our heads, we tend to:

• Overanalyze
• Procrastinate
• Worry about what others might think
• Focus our attention toward what could go wrong

When we listen to our hearts, we:

• Move forward fearlessly
• Have peace of mind
• Feel a sense of joy
• Make decisions with confidence

Here is a situation almost everybody has experienced: While in a romantic relationship, we wonder how long we should wait to say the words, “I love you.” Third date? Three weeks? Three months? When we think about this question using our heads, we struggle to find the answer.

When we listen to our hearts, the answer becomes clear. We know intrinsically when the time is right to say, “I love you.” As the angels say, “Listen to your heart, and if it feels right, go for it.”
