Fresh flowers, with their wonderful blooms, exquisite color variations and exotic shapes, are not only a visual treat, but also are a simple feng shui enhancement.
Flowers can play an important role in the feng shui of your home or office. They are living, growing things and help energize the sector of your home or room where they are placed.
When they begin to wilt, the flowers move from being yang energy to yin energy and should be discarded, as they lose the energy that activated the space.
When choosing flowers from a feng shui perspective, consider your color in relationship to the five elements — Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire.
- Earth element energy can be stimulated with yellow flowers. Place them in the northeast or southwest part of your space.
- Metal element energy can be stimulated with white or silver flowers. Place them in the west and northwest part of your space.
- Water element energy can be stimulated with blue flowers. Their best placement is in the northern part of your space.
- Wood element energy is stimulated with green flower arrangements and living plants. Their best placement is in the eastern or southeastern part of your space.
- Fire element energy can be stimulated with red flowers. Their best placement is in the southern part of your space.
By arranging flowers, you organize and activate their influence in your space, as well as beautify your surroundings. The beauty of the flowers is uplifting and stimulates your own personal positive chi.
