If you are an avid reader and love the adventure and informative nature of books, you likely want to display them. The question so often asked is, “Where should I put all of my books?”
The place to put them is on the left side of the entrance to your room as you stand at the door, for that is the wisdom area of your room. What better place to store your books then in the area of wisdom? That is the area that rewards you with the gift of wisdom for all of life’s travails.
The things we surround ourselves with, especially books, have an effect on the way we feel. So check out some of those old books you have, and if the subject matter was particularly depressing to you, consider tossing them or donating them to charity.
Look to see if any of your old books are moldy. If so, toss them as well. Also, think twice if you are considering storing books under your bed. Doing so will have the tendency to bring you down, something you probably want to avoid.
Surrounding yourself with uplifting books and books that depict life’s adventures can have a wonderful effect on you, helping you feel more positive about the new year ahead of you.
