by Jordan De La Sierra —
In the world of avant-garde, experimental, acoustic-ambient, early New Age music, this recording is legendary.
In 1976, De La Sierra sat at a specially tuned piano and recorded this music that includes the reverberations from the inside of the solid-stone Grace Cathedral in San Francisco.
Out of print for more than 30 years, it has been released for the first time on CD, digitally remastered from the original tapes.
In some mysterious way, the music sounds contemporary, probably because it is all about the sound, the tones and how the notes affect the listener.
