Healing is a spiritual process; it is a journey toward wholeness and self-realization — and a quest to discover what needs to be loved. It is a calling out for unity, compassion and self-acceptance.
Healing also is a process that requires courage, intuition, imagination and faith. This means courage to admit to ourselves that we are in need of change; intuition to provide us with insight into our own inner guidance; imagination to explore new possibilities; and faith in something greater than our current understanding or condition.
When we look at the myriad modalities and healing techniques available, we may wonder how to choose the most appropriate ones. It is best to keep in mind that these modalities are only tools used to facilitate the process. Most important is the relationship between client and healer/facilitator.
The healing partnership is a collective process, a sacred trust to teach and to learn, which always runs in both directions. The energy dynamics generated between client and healer are the stirrings of possibility, which serve to allow the client a glimpse of her own wholeness and the possibility that she can gain easier access to it.
The healer’s role is to discern how to best facilitate the client’s own self-healing process. Because all healing must come from within, the facilitator must be ever mindful that the process is always about empowering the client.
Trust your body and your intuition to guide you in choosing your path. It is your innate ability to self-heal that will bring you exactly what is right for you at the right time.
