The healing power of oxygen

When we do not receive enough oxygen, we can become fatigued and prone to chronic disease. Both physical and emotional illnesses can result from low oxygen levels.

Our bodies depend on oxygen for survival. Holding your breath will quickly demonstrate just how great our need for it is. We know we need it, but most of us are unaware of the potential oxygen has for our health. The different forms of oxygen keep us and the planet healthy. Oxygen (O2) is what life breathes and ozone (O3) is formed in the atmosphere where it absorbs UVB radiation and protects us from ultraviolet radiation.

We normally breathe air that contains about 20 percent oxygen, which our cells then burn to produce energy. When we do not receive enough oxygen, we can become fatigued and prone to chronic disease. Both physical and emotional illnesses can result from low oxygen levels.

While a lack of oxygen can result in disease, increased oxygen may help reverse or prevent it. Medical-grade ozone has an amazing ability to heal, repair and detoxify. It may help in treating autoimmune diseases, cancer, infectious diseases, macular degeneration, cardiovascular disease and joint damage.

Using ozone for medical treatment began more than 60 years ago in Germany. Since then, it has been utilized in numerous countries where further studies are being encouraged and funded. Recently, articles have been published in mainstream media showing the many benefits oxygen can have in the treatment of complex diseases like cancer.

Ozone therapy is an expert regulator of the immune system. Cytokines are messengers for your immune system, which are produced by white blood cells. These messengers are critical for the immune system to communicate. Crohn’s disease, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto’s or any of the estimated 80 different autoimmune diseases are the result of an overactive immune system.

By stimulating the production of cytokines, your immune system is encouraged to slow down. Ozone not only calms down an overactive immune system, but it also revives a lethargic one. Diseases like cancer thrive in the presence of a weakened immune system.

One very important benefit of using ozone in cancer treatment is that according to recent research, ozone increases oxygen levels in tumors, which can help reduce their aggressiveness and the spread of cancer cells. As a defense, cancer cells produce adenosine, a signal for natural killer cells to go to sleep. Without these killer cells, cancer cells continue to multiply freely. According to this recent research, increasing oxygen may weaken that defense, allowing your killer cells to attack cancer cells. This research also showed a decrease in tumor size in an oxygen-rich environment.

Ozone can also reverse physical damage within a joint capsule. Chronic joint pain results when an injury is sustained and does not heal completely. Joints have limited circulation and, with fewer nutrients and less oxygen, a joint cannot repair itself. Treatments with ozone are very effective in eliminating pain because ozone stimulates collagen production, which can reconstruct compromised connective tissue in and around any joint.

By tightening and repairing tissue that has been torn or stretched, the joint will start to function properly, permanently resolving any pain. Ozone has proven to be an effective option for those with chronic pain from arthritis. As ozone regenerates cartilage, arthritic pain can be corrected and further inflammation and associated pain can be prevented.

While oxygen and ozone can greatly improve most disease and illness, success depends on a few factors, the most important being the practitioner’s training and experience. Oxygen complements other treatments and is rarely used alone. Each patient should have an individualized treatment plan that has been carefully considered by a knowledgeable physician.
