The Shimmering Land

Shimmering LandThe Shimmering Land

by Meg Bowles —

Bowles has created shimmering orchestral ambient soundscapes evoking soft layers of shifting light and sound.

The music is reflective and contemplative, with different sections, purposeful movement, counterpoint, shifting textures and specific emotionalism.

It has many different layers of listening. When you first listen, you may feel like you are floating in space, but there is melody and structure.

With music this gentle and quiet, you have to listen carefully to hear the subtle changes.

So sit back and let the music flow and wash over you as if you are sitting on an ocean shore and the waves are lapping over your body.

Either way, the listening experience is all pleasure.
