Trusting in your process

Whether it is a child fighting for independence from a parent, a lover who is no longer attentive or a friend who has new responsibilities, do not take it personally.

by Linda Williams —

There may come a time in your life, when you have to let go of friends, loved ones and associates. You may initiate the break or be powerless to argue someone else’s decision. When this happens, take heart, as the Universe and your soul are forcing you to grow.

Whether it is a child fighting for independence from a parent, a lover who is no longer attentive or a friend who has new responsibilities, do not take it personally. Do not give away your joy. We all have a path for discovery. Some of us take the easy route, while others make it harder than it has to be. Either way, we are here to experience what this planet has to offer and to find our unique path, whatever it may be. We are to be happy and joyful while experiencing it, during the good times and the bad. There are no limitations, only the ones we set for ourselves.

The Universe is wise and fulfills whatever we desire, along with what is required for our growth. It may come in the guise of disruption — a plan may go awry, a source may dry up, a relationship may suffer or fail.

These eruptions and discomforts are required to get to the “good stuff.” Say that your friends or family are dependent on you to save them from every obstacle or wrong decision they make. You have been doing this for so long that you are tired and emotionally numb. But the thought of saying no to them ties your stomach in knots because of the discomfort it will cause both you and them. You know in your heart that to be free, you have to let them sink or swim on their own. They may go under a few times, but self-preservation will kick in. The outcome can be that you survive, they survive and everybody is stronger for it.

Continuing to resist “Spirit’s will” and trying to work our own is like taking two steps forward, then falling back 10 steps. Trust in the process. Trust in your process that the Universe knows what it is doing — that your happiness and growth are of the highest priority.
