Stroke, press and rub away wrinkles

Simple feather-light stroking, especially on forehead stress furrows, is enormously effective.

by Julia Busch —

An educated touch can reverse facial aging. Simple feather-light stroking, especially on forehead stress furrows, is enormously effective.

Here is how to perform it:

With pinkies, ring and middle fingers of both hands touching between your eyebrows at the bridge of your nose, stroke the letter “V” upward and outward, 10 to 50 times. Relax your neck, shoulders, eyes, lips and jaw. Feel your entire body, bit by bit, go limp all the way to your toes. Close your eyes.

With the same fingers, draw an “M.” Begin at the bridge of your nose and follow the curve of your eyebrows. Mentally see your eyebrows slowly lowering until they rest at the bottom of your eyes. Feel your forehead totally relax. Repeat 10 to 50 times.

With fingers touching at the bridge of your nose, stroke a “C” lying on its back (the center of the “C” rests on the bridge). Finish with little half-inch, brush-like strokes to paint a “V” between your eyebrows.

To rub away “parenthesis” lines on either side of your mouth, lubricate your skin to avoid “drag.” Firmly place the index and middle fingers of one hand on either side of the wrinkle, running in the direction of the wrinkle. With the index or middle finger of the opposite hand, rub back and forth across the wrinkle 10 to 50 times.

Plump cheeks with finger pressure applied to the depressions found directly below the center of your eyes at a line about even with the flare of your nostrils. Contact the points very gently. Gradually increase pressure, easing up slightly if you feel pain. Hold for seven seconds. Gradually release. Allow your finger pads to rest on the points for five seconds. Repeat the sequence three times. Move to the large depressions located about an inch below your eyes on a line about even with the midpoint of your nose and repeat the procedure.
