The kids are heading back to school and you know what that means — germs, millions of them. With all the disinfectant wipes in retail stores and hand sanitizers in schools these days, you would think this would mean a reduction in germs and therefore less sick days for children and adults alike.
Yet there are approximately 22 million absences from school each year, plus all the sick days people take off of work, in spite of the fact that people are using antiseptic wipes and sanitizers like never before. I always wipe down my cart when entering the grocery store, but what about at the end of the checkout line where hundreds of people have handled the credit card machine stylus to sign their name?
Now consider the germs on crayons, pencils and doorknobs, just to name a few. And, did you know there are more germs on a water fountain than on a toilet seat? No wonder kids get sick a lot. It would be interesting to study why some children rarely get sick and why others catch every bug that comes their way. I am betting a lot of it has to do with what they eat, drink, how often they wash their hands and, most importantly, how strong or weak their immune systems are.
Do your children drink soft drinks or juice and eat processed foods? And is it better for them to drink diet soft drinks full of artificial sweeteners or regular soda laden with high fructose corn syrup? The Internet is filled with studies on the effects from drinking soft drinks. It seems clear that both are unhealthy if you look at the ever-growing obesity epidemic in this country. Consuming the wrong foods creates a compromised immune system because it has to work harder to rid the body of those toxins. Eating organic fruits and veggies can help strengthen a weakened immune system.
Missing school days is detrimental in many ways. It can affect grades and self-confidence. Students who attend school without missing many days have a better chance of being successful and learning more than those who are frequently out sick. Parents have the responsibility to promote and instill great habits in their children and, in particular, what is put into the body.
Bloomberg Businessweek referenced a study by Harvard University reporting that the number of children with chronic illnesses has quadrupled since the time their parents were kids. Childhood obesity has had a fourfold increase, asthma has doubled since the 1980s, and the growing number of kids diagnosed with ADD/ADHD is startling. We need to take action to stop this epidemic. People are living longer than ever before, yet chronic illness is persistently increasing. Look at the number of children with cancer and diabetes. Their bodies simply cannot fight off all the pesticides and chemicals in processed foods.
One reason many of us get sick is due to an overtaxed immune system. Children’s immune systems have not fully matured, which makes them more vulnerable to airborne illnesses than adults. The key to keeping your children and yourself cold free is a healthy immune system. Children who suffer from sniffling, allergies, tiredness, and getting sick and missing school could all be exhibiting the signs of weakened immune systems.
Is there something your child can take to help him stay healthy all year long? Fortunately, there is, but most people have never heard of it. The number one immune-modulator on earth is beta glucan. The reason most people, including doctors, are unaware of it is because 10 years ago one capsule cost $200.
Beta glucan is found in seaweed, some grains and Japanese mushrooms. Our potent product comes from the walls of baker’s yeast because it is the most potent. We have two other ingredients in our beta glutan that make it the best in the world. But, buyer beware — not all beta glucan is created equally. In fact, most beta glucan you purchase from health food stores is worthless. Studies on beta glucan have been conducted by universities for more than 50 years, and more than 11,000 studies can be found on pubmed.gov.
Can you still get sick while taking beta glucan? My husband says it best, “Beta glucan lowers the frequency, duration and severity of colds and flu.” Our family has not been sick in two years since taking beta glucan. During allergy season we did increase the dosage, but we never once had to reach for the Flonase.
I heard our manufacturer say that every child should take this product. It could mean the difference between a scholarship or not. With every day of school missed, the student falls behind, which starts a vicious cycle … they miss school, then must play catch up, losing sleep, missing extra-curricular activities and tests, falling further behind.
Beta glucans are so significant because they bind to the CR3 receptor of neutrophil cells, which are the most abundant white blood cells, and these cells are now activated to see “non-self” cells. Essentially, after taking beta glucan, trillions more fighter cells are produced inside the body, which is why people are calling our product, “life changing” and “miraculous.”
Beta glucan has been licensed in some countries as a drug to combat cancer. Yet, it is also regarded as safe enough to be added to baby formula by manufacturers in other countries. No known side-effects exist from its use, and it does not interfere with other medications. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gives beta glucan a “generally regarded as safe” (GRAS) rating.
Ccntact me to find out how you and your family can enjoy the benefits of the number-one beta glucan in the world.
