Kundalini is an evolutionary energy designed for humanity’s next step toward a luminous physical and spiritual expression. Kundalini energy is in everyone. It is an untapped resource of divinity, waiting to be awakened and experienced. Never has the time been so right and crucial for a change of this magnitude to be initiated and explored.

Kundalini is a powerful, transformative energy located at the base of the spine within the last three vertebrae of the tailbone or coccyx and extending to the perineum. Kundalini is a natural birthright of all people, but it must be sought and nurtured through a physical and spiritual practice. One must be careful when awakening this energy, however, as it is a vast power over which there is no control.

When you activate your kundalini energy, you will be introduced to a part of yourself beyond the constraints and understanding of science, religion and most esoteric concepts. This power cannot be manipulated by your inner child or your ego; rather, it is in control of itself. Once kundalini is initiated, it establishes the agenda — within you and upon you. Once it starts, there is no stopping its force.

So how do you know if you are ready? The first two laws can be a good basis for determining your readiness and willingness.

Surrender is the first law of kundalini. You must be prepared to surrender control of your consciousness and your body. If you can do this completely, the rewards are beyond words. So please take all of this into consideration before you begin to seek the release of kundalini or move into a greater expression of it.

Forgiveness is the second law of kundalini and the vehicle for surrendering your anger, hurt, pain, guilt and any feelings of vengeance that you might harbor. Fear, ego, competition, materialism and laziness also must be forgiven and surrendered.

You might be wondering if you are able to do this. It is certainly worth taking the time to ask yourself if you can indeed walk inside the integrity required to achieve these first two laws. It is not a matter of being able to simply “endure it” — like those who would grit their teeth and take a beating. It is a matter of being able to give up control of how you have lived your life up to this point. Everything you know goes out the window. This is how one can “come as a child.”

Surrendering to kundalini also is about releasing old, familiar paradigms in order to accept new ones. You will need to release much of what you have learned through education and experience, as your entire understanding of life will be transformed.

Kundalini is all about the change of the inner and the outer person to become the next step in the evolution of humanity. It is about exploring and embracing the divine within.
