The inspirational home

With so many distractions every day, it is critical to connect self to space, at least every moment we are at home.

Many of us are familiar with the law of attraction. We monitor our thoughts to keep them positive; we make sure we are feeling good; and we stay focused on what we intend to attract. Yet, is our environment supporting all this effort?

With so many distractions every day, it is critical to connect self to space, at least every moment we are at home. Creating an inspirational home supports this vision so that when you walk out the door, you continue to carry the feelings you need to magnify your desires.

To make that possible, you might use something called the Inspirational Home Matrix to capture your intent and then translate it into each room’s environment. You can try it yourself. Grab a notepad and sit in the room of your choice, then ask yourself:

  • What is the purpose of the room?
  • How do I want to feel here?
  • Close your eyes and visualize the way you want to feel. How could this room support that? Write down the elements that help create the feeling you desire.
  • It is important to capture the colors, fabrics and specific pieces of furniture and accessories that create the feeling you desire, such as power, peace, abundance, etc.
  • Next, create a vision board. Clip from a magazine or draw pictures that represent the feelings you want to create. Paste them on a board. This will help capture the essence of what you want to feel when you are in the room.

Walk through steps that include reflection, release, renewal/re-creation and resonance — one room at a time. This process helps guide you to co-create unique sacred spaces in your home that will support you in manifesting the life of your dreams.
