The warrior’s stance of reality

The warrior’s stance of reality is about grounding ourselves and living in the reality of the one truth.

by John English —

When a teaching appears in almost every religion and on every mystical path, we can safely assume it is a universal truth. One example of a universal truth is what is commonly referred to as the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. There are many universal truths, and they all point out how to live in peace and the power of unconditional love. In the medicine way, we talk about how all truth comes from one universal truth, or how that truth gave birth to all universal truths which are all pathways back to the one truth.

The warrior’s stance of reality is about grounding ourselves and living in the reality of the one truth. We express this as follows: There is only One Spirit and One Life of which we are all a part. This One Spirit created all life so that it might experience itself.

Another way to express this is to say we are all individuations of the One Spirit that many of us refer to as God. However, when we say it this way, we must not forget that we are a part of this One Spirit. This is very important, because it means that we are not separate. This eventually leads to the realization that we have all the love and power of that which created us.

Building our lives on the foundation of this truth of oneness is the path of the warrior. This is beautiful in its simplicity, but its day-to-day application can be challenging. However, the warrior knows that all of life’s challenges will bring him/her more power and make it easier to stand aside from illusion and live in the moment and the one truth.

When the warrior is faced with a challenge in life, he/she will at some point wake up, remember the one truth, stand in it and then work through the challenge from that place. The benefits to this process are amazing and almost unfathomable in scope and number. One benefit is the end of taking things personally; another is the end of victimhood and all it draws into our lives.

Remember the next time you face a challenge in life to wake up — wake up, take the warrior’s stance of reality, and remember that you are a part of the One Spirit and the One Life. Remember that you have individuated so you could get to know yourself.

Then work through your challenge with love, gratitude and power. When you do this, all of your life experiences will bring you the gifts of power they were designed to bring.
