Complete wheatgrass powder differs from traditional wheatgrass juice in that it contains the whole plant, including the roots. The plant is ground up, cold dried and powdered. When the powder is activated with cold water, it is very active biologically with a mild, palatable taste, unlike the juice of wheatgrass.
Wheatgrass powder contains 17 amino acids, 13 vitamins, 10 minerals, fiber, chlorophyll and more than 100 enzymes — a complete food with survival benefits. It is estimated that 15 pounds of wheatgrass powder equals the nutritional value of 350 pounds of garden vegetables.
If body tissues do not maintain an alkaline pH, health problems can develop. Wheatgrass powder alkalizes acidic body conditions which hinder absorption of nutrients, slowing down the body’s natural healing capacity. It contains chlorophyll that intensifies blood production and promotes the oxygenation of cells and better blood circulation.
The powder energizes the body, satisfies the appetite, eliminates wastes, normalizes weight and contains powerful enzymes that have anti-aging properties. It also can be used in the healing of many skin conditions, to help deodorize the body and to address inflammatory conditions like ulcers, colitis, pancreatitis and arthritis.
The consumption of wheatgrass powder enhances cellular body activity, and protects against cancer. Wheatgrass powder contains abscissic acid, a phyto-hormone that prevents cancer from invading the immune system. It also activates the enzyme P4DI, which strips cancer cells of their protective covering and encourages the cells’ death.
