Steps to sustainable health

It is inherent in our nature to be powerful, healthy and happy.

by Tracy Minton and Don Matesz —

Health does not come from the poke of a needle or a pill. Vibrant health is experienced by those who are committed to making choices that sustain physical, mental and emotional well-being.

We are the sum of all our previous choices. Yet our bodies have amazing regenerative powers, allowing us the opportunity to continuously reinvent ourselves. If you are not completely satisfied with your current levels of energy, fitness, health and happiness, consider looking at which areas of your life seem most out of balance. Then commit today to creating the environments that will sustain and enhance your ability to be all that you dare dream possible.

The role of any practitioner, whether allopathic or alternative, is to be a guide helping facilitate positive changes as effectively as possible. There are no quick fixes. To seek them is, in fact, side-stepping the very elements of your journey that hold the keys to your ongoing happiness. Believe it or not, symptoms, stresses and imbalances serve only as loving, neutral messengers.

Your job is to pay attention. Your spirit is guiding you to the path of least effort and greatest joy. It is inherent in our nature to be powerful, healthy and happy. But to look only for immediate and quick relief from a symptom will not bring lasting results, healing or satisfaction. The more you commit to your journey, maintain positive mental states and honor yourself by living in alignment with your personal truths, the greater the reward.

Sustainable environments also include having boundaries, maintaining meaningful connections and working or volunteering at places where we are valued. Discovering what our true gifts are and spending as many of our precious moments being and doing what we love can literally lift our vibration. This is the greatest panacea for healing.

Living authentically and remembering the true source of who we are can transcend us beyond the need to heal, and lead to creative, fulfilling lives lived with purpose. The choices are always yours. Make good ones. Find a practitioner who can support and empower your journey to healing.
